Little getaways are my favorite.

Over the weekend, my Mom and I boarded a plane for a short trip to Virginia for my cousins wedding and to visit my sister. We squeezed so much into those three lovely days; a wedding, lots of good food, playing games late into the evening, a breathtaking hiking, and thrifting in the local shops. Right before we left for the airport Ellen took me to Rebel hill, a serene spot tucked alongside her college dorm. There was a misty rain and cool breeze as we walked through the grass -- a scene perfect enough to be in the movies.

I'm home now but don't worry Virigina, I'll be back soon for your rolling hills covered in fog and quaint little towns. I miss them already.
