It's Friday and the craziest skirt you ever did see // Day 2

March 22, 2013

I've never taken advantage of weekends like I have these last few months. They are CHERISHED times for the girl who spends 40 hours a week behind a computer in a dark office. I feel so giddy I could probably skip down the brick sidewalk that leads to our accounting office, and this is saying a lot for the girl who is usually pretty modest and doesn't show a whole lot of emotion! This weekend I'm looking forward to taking a deep breathe and leaving work at the office. I'm looking forward to laughter and being outside in the fresh air. I'm looking forward to journaling and reading Colossians. And I'm looking forward to finding tapioca pearls at the grocery store so I can make boba tea [my drink obsession since I can't stand coffee] at home.

What are you doing this weekend to refresh?

Sweater // Tank [Gina's closet] // Skirt // Flats

P.S. Most of the pieces in todays post are from "spendy" stores. But, I don't want you to think I spent oodles of money on these clothes nor is it necessary to spend a lot of money to get cute clothes. Keeping a written list of items my closet "needs" has been revolutionary for me because when I attack shopping/clearance racks I'm much for intentional and not simply asking myself "Is this cute?". Instead I'm asking, "Do I love this?" "Do I already have it/something similar at home?" [If yes, I don't buy it.] and "Can it for worn at least 3 different ways with the clothes I have at home?" All of the pieces listed above from Anthro or Urban were found on clearance [cardi = $10, flats = $10, and skirt = $40]. Friends, make a written list of your closet needs and stalk those clearance racks for the best deals. I promise you'll be adding some "needed" gems to your closet in no time ;) For more tips go HERE

P.P.S. This verse popped up as my "verse of the day" and it hit home -- "No discipline is enjoyable while it is happening, it's painful! But afterward there will be a peaceful harvest of right living for those who are trained in this way." Hebrews 12:11

  2. eeeeee JULIA you are a cutie. :)
I have about ten pieces in my closet that I love, and the rest are old t-shirts. ;) so this summer, my goal is to finally throw old clothes (that I never wear), and add some basic staples and cute pieces. can't wait! :)
